Stoked that I got asked to DJ at the launch party for The Correspondents first EP ‘What’s Happened To Soho?’ I’ve played with these guys a few times before and have heavily supported them on my Kiss FM radio show. Their videos are always great too – you can check out the latest one here. If you’ve never seen these guys live be sure to check out their busy schedule and go see ’em sometime…

‘Zigga Zigga’ is the first single from renowned Dallas based hip hop DJ & producer, DJ Love’s debut album, ‘Waiting On A Revolution’ due for release on Ali B’s Air Recordings in 2011. It features Geechi Suede on vocals from legendary hip hop outfit, Camp Lo. Remixes come courtesy of some of the breaks & beats scene’s biggest players. You can check out samples in the player above with DJ Love‘s original followed by remixes from A-Skillz, Fort Knox Five, Nick Thayer and DJ Eleven. Wth its big hooky guitar riffs and speaker pounding beats, we think you’ll agree, ‘Zigga Zigga’ is an instant classic… |
ALI B AT AFRIKA BURN 2010
This is a film that I made about my adventures at Afrika Burn in 2010, the official African outpost of the world famous Burning Man event. I’ve been regularly going to Burning Man in the US for a few years and so I thought it was about time that I checked out some of the other Burns around the world. The whole thing was shot on a camera that was no bigger than a packet of cigarettes and then I edited it on my laptop so go easy! I got to DJ out there which was a lot of fun and I will definitely be going back again this year to do the same. You can read the full blog post I wrote at the time about Afrika Burn here and if you want to find out more about Afrika Burn 2011 you can check out their official website here. |
