ALI B AT AFRIKA BURN 2011
. |
This is the second film I have made about my adventures at Afrika Burn, the official African outpost of Burning Man, the art and music event based on radical self expression and self reliance. 2011 was an awesome year with lots of amazing art and music and I got to hang out with some truly great, great people. I pretty much had a 40 hour week of DJing, playing for around 5/6 hours a night which for anyone that knows me, will appreciate is my idea of heaven. Big thanks again to the VuVu Lounge whose mobile sound system once again owned Tankwa Town alongside The Succulents and The Led Headz. This film was shot on my trusty iPhone and edited on my laptop and features aerial footage of Afrika Burn which was filmed from a short ride in a very small plane, giving a great sense of scale. I can’t wait for Afrika Burn 2012 which takes place from 25th – 30th April. You can check out the piece I wrote for the Guardian Newspaper here.
WEST LONDON WAREHOUSE PARTY WITH ALI B
This is quite simply one of the best parties in London right now, so if you’ve never been, you need to get down and check it out. I’ll be playing another seven hour set in the courtyard on the funk & bass tip while upstairs DJs include DJ W!ld (Circo Loco), Hugo Heathcote, Richard Adam & Josh Silver. You can find more information on the International Arts website here and you can check out the photos from last month’s party here…

INTERNATIONAL ARTS PRESENTS ALI B…
The next installment in Eazy Bailey’s awesome West London Warehouse parties is upon us. I’m pretty much going to be holding things down in the courtyard the entire night on the funk & bass tip. If you’re planning on getting down to this one you’ll need to get in on the tickets early as its likely to sell out. DJs on the night include Popof / Cocoon, Hugo Heathcote, Lazersonic and myself. For more information you can check out the International Arts website here…
