ALI B AT SQUARE RED

House Party

Last time I played at this party it was amazing. The venue is an awesome West London Warehouse with 2 rooms along with plenty of outdoor space and the crowd were super cool. If you’re planning on getting down to this one you’ll need to get in on the tickets early as its likely to sell out. DJs on the night include James Manero, Hugo Heathcote, Mikail alongside myself. ALI B AT AFRIKA BURN 2011

I am so stoked to be returning to Afrika Burn next week, the Burning Man of Africa. Last year was a lot of fun, I wrote about it here and in case you missed it, you can check out the film I made here. This year we have created our own camp called Camp LED and we will be situated at 9ish and Binnekring (Esplanade for those more used to Black Rock City). I will be DJing at The Vuvu Lounge, Camp L.E.D. and The Succulents at various time during the week. I’m looking forward to hanging out with my South African crew some of which made it out to Burning Man USA last year. I’m also going to make it up to Johannesburg again on this trip and I’m looking forward to playing up there too. The best part of all this is that I get to miss the Big Fat Royal Wedding here in the UK. For more information or if you think you’re gonna make it out there this year, check out www.afrikaburn.com

ALI B AT AFRIKA BURN 2010

AIRFIX020

This is a film that I made about my adventures at Afrika Burn in 2010, the official African outpost of the world famous Burning Man event. I’ve been regularly going to Burning Man in the US for a few years and so I thought it was about time that I checked out some of the other Burns around the world. The whole thing was shot on a camera that was no bigger than a packet of cigarettes and then I edited it on my laptop so go easy! I got to DJ out there which was a lot of fun and I will definitely be going back again this year to do the same. You can read the full blog post I wrote at the time about Afrika Burn here and if you want to find out more about Afrika Burn 2011 you can check out their official website here.
